This notice is about this website, dexlin.app. What our apps collect is a separate and much longer story — each app has its own privacy policy.
Nothing is stored until you say yes
dexlin.app is a set of static pages. There is no account to sign in to, no shopping basket and no comment box. The only thing that stores anything on your device is Google Analytics, and it stores nothing until you allow it.
Under Spanish law — article 22.2 LSSI-CE, implementing the EU ePrivacy Directive — consent must come before anything non-essential is written to your device. That is why you are asked rather than told, and why declining is the same single click as accepting.
What happens before you choose
We should be precise, because "no cookies until consent" is not the same as "nothing happens until consent".
Google's tag is loaded on every page with all storage switched off by default — what Google calls Consent Mode. Concretely, before you answer:
- No cookie is set and no identifier is kept about you.
- The tag file is still fetched from Google. Any request to another company's server reveals your IP address and the page you are on, and this one is no exception.
- A cookieless measurement ping is sent. It carries no identifier and cannot be tied back to you or to a later visit; Google uses it for aggregate estimates.
We previously withheld the script entirely until consent, which avoided even that. We changed it because Google cannot verify a tag it never sees, and an unverifiable property is not much use. If that trade matters to you, a content blocker will stop the fetch and the site will work exactly the same.
If you allow analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people actually read. It is the only third party on this website.
| What it stores, once allowed | Two cookies, _ga and _ga_<id>, holding a random identifier for your browser |
| How long | Up to 2 years, until you clear them or withdraw consent |
| What we see | Pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, whether you came from a search engine or a link, and what kind of device you used |
| What we do not see | Your name, your email, or anything connecting you to an account in one of our apps. These statistics are never joined to app data |
| Turned off | Advertising features, remarketing, Google Signals and ad personalisation are all explicitly disabled. Your IP address is anonymised |
| Legal basis | Your consent, and nothing else |
| Google's policy | policies.google.com/privacy |
Google processes some of this in the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses.
If you decline, the storage stays switched off: no cookie is written, and the tag continues sending only the cookieless ping described above.
You can change your mind at any time using the controls further down this page. Withdrawing is as easy as consenting, which the GDPR requires and which we would do anyway.
What we still do not load
Whatever you choose, this site never loads:
- advertising or remarketing pixels;
- social media embeds, share buttons or like widgets;
- fonts from Google Fonts or any other font CDN;
- tag managers, session recorders, heatmaps or A/B testing tools;
- chat widgets.
Every font, script, style and image is served from dexlin.app itself. A third-party font request alone would tell that company your IP address and which page you were reading, which is a real disclosure in exchange for nothing you would notice.
What our host records
The site is served by Firebase Hosting. Like any web server, it writes a log entry for each request containing your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser's user-agent string.
| Why | Serving the page at all, blocking attacks and abuse |
| Legal basis | Our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website |
| Linked to you | No. These logs are never combined with an app account, and no profile is built from them |
| Google's policy | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
Server logs are not covered by the consent rule above — a server cannot answer a request without receiving it.
